Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all are having a spectacular week. The start of a new week brings many things and I’m crossing my fingers that it brings lots of donations for our Adopt A Family program. I have received many heart-wrenching stories from my fans and what I need from you now, are donations. This program will be nothing without YOUR help. All of the donations received through the site will go directly to the Adopt A Family recipients.
In addition to your donations, I will also be donating a portion of my earnings this month to the program. You can donate any amount you like, whether it be $2, $10 or $100. Any little bit helps and the more people that donate, the more I will be able to help the families in need this holiday season. If you are not familiar with this program, I will give you the cliff notes version now:
The entire month of November, I will be taking nominations for the program. What I’m looking for are 2 families struck with unusually bad circumstance this holiday season. One family will live within 2 hours of Panama City, Florida and the other family can live anywhere in the United States. You can nominate a friend, a collegue, an acquaintence or nominate Yourself! If you know a family that is having financial difficulties this holiday season and could really use some help providing Christmas this year, please send their story to admin@couponfordummies.com. In the subject line of the email, please put “adopt a family.” All I ask is that you are honest about your stories and you include your name and contact information on the email. If your story is chosen, I will be awarding the family a gift card to use this Christmas, however they see fit. I’ve already received many stories of families in need and would love to hear more.
While these stories are extremely sad and heart breaking, with your help, we can help make these families’ holidays a little happier this year. I will be choosing a winner, both local & national, sometime around the first to middle of December. I will personally deliver the card to the local family and the national family, I will send via fed-ex overnight. I just want to use this opportunity to help a family in need this year. Coupon for Dummies is still a fairly new site, but due to the great response I’ve gotten from fans and the rapid growth, I thought I might be able to do something selfless as a result.
I’ve received a few donations already, but we need more! You can find the donate button at the bottom of this post OR look on the right hand sidebar of the site, for a donate button there as well.
I NEED YOUR HELP!! You’ve sent your stories to me and now, I need donations. Please help us build our Adopt A Family program. I would love to see these families get a gift card large enough to provide Christmas gifts for their whole family and Christmas dinner. While I will be thankful for any amount we raise, I know the more we raise, the happier these families will be this holiday season.
If you are lucky enough to not have to worry about how you’re going to buy Christmas gifts for your family this year, you should be incredibly grateful.
